Mustafina will miss World Championships

The All Around Forum reports that Alexandrov has announced via Novosti that Mustafina is definitely out of the Tokyo World Championships.  She will be able to begin full training late this year/early next.

Not that unexpected, although as you will have seen in my team predictions on the Couch Gymnast, I had hoped we might see her. 

The Russian team should take this as an opportunity to step up and show their best face; let's hope we'll have some pleasant surprises in store during the Russian Cup.
