Online and TV coverage of European Gymnastics Championships

Official podium training for the juniors begins today at 10 am and runs right through till 7.30.  I haven't heard of any quick hits but will let you know as soon as I do - or please share information in comments.

In the UK, the BBC has finally confirmed its schedule of coverage, which isn't bad if you have red button.  See below.  I have already posted information and links to online and TV coverage elsewhere in Europe - please follow this link.

    Can you remember if red button stuff becomes available on iplayer? I have a big deadline on the 23rd so the likelihood of me be able to see all this live AND get a good grade is, well ...

      I will likely miss this for family reasons also. In the website it says it will be in Iplayer, but you had better double check for yourself. Also, if you have freesat, there is a channel (981 I think) from which you can record the transmission on your box.

Aliya Mustafina - new interview

Aliya in her new Olympic Games outfit.  The teams were kitted out at the Bosco Olympic centre in Moscow last week 'Europeans went quite well, for me personally and for the team.  There were no big blunders or falls and we were able to show a good result.  If we continue to work in the same way as we approach the Olympics, everything will be fine ... Although of course we will need to do a little more in Rio.  For the Olympic Games, everything will be right. Roschina on Mustafina

 Roshchina discusses Mustafina’s role in the Russian national gymnastics team The Olympic champion has been working with the Russian senior national team since the beginning of 2026 and specializes in the balance beam. "Aliya Fargatovna gives us all sorts of advice and handy tips, which is a huge help to us," Roshchina admitted, adding that Mustafina has been her idol since childhood. Mustafina has been working with the Russian senior national team since the beginning of 2026, specializing in the balance beam. Prior to this, she served as the head coach of the women’s junior national team. Roshchina is 18 years old, and the world championships in Rotterdam mark the second high-level competition of her career. At the 2025 World Championships, she finished 11th in the individual all-around. In August, in Zagreb, she became a European champion as part of the Russian team, which competed under the "World Gymnastics" banner.
